"Cookies are made of butter and love."
~ Norwegian Proverb ~
Ingredients
Good, quality ingredients and our great passion for all things that revolve around cookies are the basis of our cookie creations. We love, love, love to bake and EAT cookies - from drop cookies to bars, cutouts to spritz, sandwiched to dipped - you name it, we try it.
But let's not get sidetracked... we are here to talk about ingredients. First off, we try to use ingredients that are widely familiar (i.e. Ghirardelli Chocolates, Guittard Chocolates, C&H sugar), ingredients found locally here in Oregon (i.e. Bob's Red Mill Flours), and natural ingredients (i.e. freshly grated orange or lemon zest). We do our best to stay away from highly processed ingredients, such as artificial flavorings or artificial colors, and preservatives.
We use REAL butter... AA Grade and locally made in Clackamas, Oregon... making our products a bit perishable, therefore they are best eaten as soon as possible. We package our cookies in biodegradable cellophane bags, a material that's more porous than plastic so if for some reason you are unable to consume your purchase within several days of receiving it, we recommend that you store them in an airtight container. Further suggested guidelines for storing can be found in the FAQ page.
We label all our products. And we list the ingredients by weight (heaviest to lightest).
